In the year when covid proved that the whole of humanity is deeply interconnected and interdependent house prices increased by nearly 8% in the UK while the economy shrank 11%. Thus, proving that the way we organise our society and economy is only for the select few that have the capital to flourish. 2020 could have been in a year to bring people together in adversity. But no; better to sell the unfortunate down the fortunate watch their assets rise and rise. We have to get to a fairer system, one that reflects our humanity, our interdependencies and enables us all to flourish.
